Job Summary
Seasonal role focused on grading grain quality and supporting daily operations. Responsibilities include weighing and grading grain for inbound/outbound vessels, using lab equipment to assess quality, performing manual data entry, and notifying managers of potential quality issues or equipment problems. Maintain a clean work station and follow all food safety and quality rules (GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA) as stated in the company Health, Safety & Environmental guidelines. Requires standing for long periods, ability to work long hours during Harvest season, and willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and allergens. The position has no supervisory duties and reports to location leadership. Shifts are assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods
- Must be able to work long hours during Harvest season
- Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans
- Ability to write reports, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence
- Detail-oriented with ability to maintain audit-ready condition
- Ability to use basic office tools and perform data entry
- Ability to operate lab equipment to assess quality
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
