Job Summary
Conduct elevator operations including grain handling, safety, and maintenance while running the grain drying system under the location manager's direction. Manage incoming, stored, and outgoing grain to maintain quality and blending standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and federal safety regulations. Perform housekeeping duties related to grain handling and maintain company equipment, rolling stock, and facilities according to uniform policy. Provide professional customer service and operate independently with the ability to travel overnight as needed. Work extended hours and on-call rotation based on business conditions, handling tasks in extreme weather and noisy environments with appropriate safety measures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or experience in a related agricultural field
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Understanding and willingness to learn grain handling
- Understanding and experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary
- Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Willingness to work in noisy conditions
- Willingness to work in conditions including dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
- Ability to work at varying heights including climbs on grain bins, legs, etc.
- Ability to lift 51 - 70 lbs
- Acceptable and job-related background check
- Pass drug test
- Pass motor vehicle report
- Pass reference check
