Job Summary

Seasonal Canadian remote tax specialist role focusing on personal tax returns using TurboTax/Intuit tools, delivering tax guidance and preparation services to customers in English and French, including federal/provincial returns, foreign income, and TP1; remote, customer-facing, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and high-quality customer interactions. Responsibilities include collaborating with customers to prepare/review returns, researching tax regulations, assisting clients with required documents for CRA, and providing clear, empathetic tax advice and guidance in a fully remote Canada-based setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years’ paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
  • Minimum of 125 tax returns prepared, per tax season for the last 3 years
  • Experience preparing and supporting a variety of federal and provincial returns for individuals, including student, pension, self-employed, rental property, investments, and foreign income
  • Experience preparing & filing E2E customer personal returns, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income and all credits/deductions
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts, superior critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly technical and comfortable with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in availability/schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French, read/write and speak) is considered an asset
  • Experience preparing Quebec tax (TP1) returns considered an asset
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment is considered an asset
