SEASONAL Forklift Operator

Job Summary
Unload raw materials and finished products, fill customer orders, and perform quality control on received and produced items. Operate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and load/unload materials onto pallets, skids, or lifting devices. Complete receiving and order documentation including recording, weighing, and labeling while maintaining a clean shipping and receiving area. This seasonal, full-time position at Elmer Chocolate runs Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm with fluctuating hours based on truck scheduling. Overtime opportunities exist during high-volume periods. Candidates must be 18, pass a drug screen and forklift certification, and possess basic math skills for inventory calculations.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old
- Pass a drug screen
- Must be able to qualify for & pass forklift certification course
- Must be able to pass a general math assessment related to calculating inventory
- High School education or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and ability to work overtime
- Ability to follow & read instructions
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Reading, interpreting signs and short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos
- Basic math skills, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to stand & walk for 12 hours+
- Ability to sit, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl, use force, carry, & push/pull
- Ability to lift < 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to apply manual dexterity and specified visual acuity
- Ability to hear and speak
