Job Summary
Move completed pallets from production lines to shrink wrap machines, then stack them for loading onto trucks. Operate forklifts safely to transport product, load and unload trailers with proper documentation, and retrieve triple-stacked items from freezers. Perform accurate inventory counts in freezer sections and ensure limited short pallets remain in stock. Maintain high safety standards, adhere to the Code of Business Ethics, and utilize lean tools like VSM and Kaizen for continuous process improvements. Work 12-hour shifts in temperatures ranging from 45-60 degrees in production rooms to 15 degrees in freezers.
Required Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be certified as a forklift operator
- Must be able to lift and stack product up to 45lbs
- Must be able to work in room temperatures of 45-60 degrees
- Must be able to work in the freezers at 15 degrees
- Must be able to read and interpret documents in English
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness
- Must be able to work in an unfatigued state
- Must be able to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
- Must be able to quickly store and recall instructions in one's short term memory
- Must be able to concentrate and perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment
- Must be able to cope with sudden changes in surrounding and/or emergency situations and/or alarms
- Must demonstrate a caring, committed and concerned attitude about safety
- Must possess fast reflexes and unimpaired coordination
- Must be able to rapidly respond to stimuli
- Must not be mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform required functions
