Job Summary
Swap batteries on BCycle electric bikes, redistribute bikes between stations, and recover unattended bikes to balance the system. Use software tools to determine real-time needs, inspect stations for safety and cosmetic standards, and perform light troubleshooting or part replacements. Safely operate service vehicles, communicate maintenance issues, and assist with station installation or removal. Interact with riders and the public, present information at events, and drop off or pick up supplies. Maintain stations and ensure all equipment meets functional requirements while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver license
- Clean driving record that passes insurance requirements for the company
- Experience working with a small team to accomplish larger goals
- Orientation to solving problems collaboratively
- Providing excellent bike share service to our riders
- Strong mobile app and computer aptitude
- Command of various software/productivity tools
- Comfort driving, stopping and working in busy outdoor urban environments
- Ability to ride a large electric cargo bicycle in an urban environment
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Ability to understand the speech of another person
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Ability to stand or sit for several hours straight at a time
- Ability to regularly lift objects up to 65+ lbs
- Ability to carry objects of this weight for distances up to 150 feet
- Ability to perform work while standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to safely transport BCycle electric bike batteries using various containers
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Night and weekend availability
- Ability to work in various temperatures including rain, cold and heat conditions
