Job Summary
Conduct efficient delivery and pickup of fairs, schools, and retail locations while maintaining customer service standards. Load and unload trucks, communicate routing changes regarding road construction or address updates, and ensure products arrive damage-free. Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, notify supervisors of defects or accidents, and complete accurate DOT logs and trip sheets. Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, and federal regulations, including drug and alcohol-free policies. Assist with warehouse tasks and attend monthly driver meetings. Travel city, suburban, and rural areas, with some overnight trips, working full-time hours with potential overtime and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Verifiable commercial driving experience of at least one (1) year
- Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age
- Possess valid Class A CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Must pass a drug screen/alcohol screen
- Must pass Motor Vehicle Record review
- Must pass criminal background review (including sex offender)
- Must pass a DOT physical examination indicating physical essential functions of job can be performed as required
- Must be able to drive vehicle weighing up to 80,000 GVW and pass road test
- Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, lift and handle metal/plastic cases weighing more than 350lbs on a regular and repetitive basis
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel overnight 1-2 days per week
- Must maintain professional appearance including well-groomed hair, clean uniform, and hygienic habits
- Must be able to read road maps and follow directions
