Job Summary
Seasonal Facility Worker responsible for cleaning, housekeeping, operation and maintenance of town facilities including arenas, swimming pools, recreation centres, interior spaces and exterior amenities. Requires CPO and refrigeration certifications, first aid/CPR-C, WHMIS, safety training, and ability to operate maintenance equipment; strong customer service and teamwork skills; willingness to work shift hours and after-hours emergencies; driver’s licence and police check.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Basic Arena Refrigeration certification
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- WHMIS
- propane handling course
- confined space
- fall arrest
- forklift training
- knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety Act, Fire Protection and Prevention Act)
- experience with refrigeration plant, pools, and related equipment
- ability to operate maintenance equipment (lawn mowers, genie lift, ice resurfacing equipment)
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- ability to work independently and in a team
- Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check
