Job Summary
Seasonal Facilities Technician for Midtown Palatine club, responsible for safe, clean, and functional facilities during peak summer season. Duties include consistently delivering courteous service to members and guests, identifying and troubleshooting facility and fitness equipment issues, performing regular upkeep and maintenance of club property, and adhering to preventative maintenance standards. Requires knowledge across roofing, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/HVAC, carpentry, and painting; preventive maintenance programs; and preferred Certified Pool Operator designation. Schedule runs June–September with 6am–10am shifts Sunday–Thursday; compensation is $18.50 per hour. Midtown is an Equal Opportunity Employer with benefits for eligible associates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Working knowledge in roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting
- Functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for facilities and plant equipment
- Possess or be capable of obtaining a Certified Pool Operator designation (highly preferred)
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment-related issues
- Self-directed with little supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with a sense of urgency
