Job Summary
Assist with and perform patient care including collection of patient information, accurate reading of vital signs, and recording input/output activities and treatments on the EMR. Coordinate daily patient flow and schedule to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction by preparing rooms for exams and procedures. Demonstrate clinical knowledge across all patient types and age groups while implementing provider instructions and orders. Maintain diagnostic and medication logs, document services accurately, and adhere to infection control policies to protect patients and employees. Provide confidential administrative support and unit coordination duties as required. This seasonal role (October–April) supports a 56-bed hospital with a strong orthopedic case load in Vail, Colorado, offering supported housing and a completion bonus. Basic Life Support certification is required, with EMT or Paramedic certification by Colorado state preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification by the state of Colorado
- Paramedic certification by the state of Colorado
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Must be HIPAA compliant
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a care tech or EMT preferred
