Job Summary
Deliver in-person presentations about starting Girl Scout troops to parent teacher organizations, faith-based groups, and community serving organizations. Advertise and serve as primary on-site host for membership registration events featuring fun activities at schools, libraries, and faith-based institutions within Centre, Clinton, and Lycoming counties. Set up engaging displays at community events to generate excitement about joining Girl Scouts, collect viable leads, and utilize proven sales techniques to convert them into new members. Assist with online registration troubleshooting, record event attendance and results, and distribute advertising materials throughout the assigned territory. This seasonal, part-time role requires candidates to reside within the Heart of Pennsylvania council footprint and travel regularly to support recruitment goals.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must reside within the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania council footprint
- Have reliable transportation to attend recruitment events, community activities, and meetings throughout the service area
- Deliver in-person presentations about starting Girl Scout troops to target audiences, such as parent teacher organizations, faith-based groups, and community serving organizations
- Advertise and serve as primary on-site host for membership information/registration events
- Set up engaging tables/displays at community and school events
- Engage with attendees to generate excitement about joining Girl Scouts
- Collect information on viable leads through participation in community and school events
- Use proven sales techniques to convert leads to new members
- Assist with and perform registration for new members
- Troubleshoot issues with the online registration system
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- Travel regularly throughout assigned territory
