Job Summary
Greet park guests, provide information on amenities, hours, fees, and policies, and collect monies for services rendered. Direct complaints to the Division Park Manager or Assistant Park Manager. Perform general park duties including litter collection and maintaining beach and entrance areas. Transmit radio communications with office and staff. Occasionally drive a county-owned vehicle and use equipment as needed. Weekend, holiday, and evening work required. Valid Texas driver's license preferred. High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to follow oral instructions
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in an outdoor setting
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with the public and other employees
- Must enjoy working with the public
- Must enjoy working in an outdoor setting
- Must be physically fit
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Weekend, Holiday and Evening work required
Desired Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate is preferred
- Must have good people person skills
- Good cooperative working relationships with other employees
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to present a professional image
- Valid State of Texas Driver's License with good driving record is preferred but not required
- Ability to speak English/Spanish is desirable
