Job Summary
Seasonal Cashier duties include delivering SMART customer service per Lowe's policies, assisting customers in locating and selecting merchandise, answering questions, processing invoices/contracts for tool rental and repairs, cross-training across store areas, and maintaining store safety and security practices. The role involves guiding customers through product features and warranties, communicating stock and program information, cultivating customer relationships, and supporting asset protection and housekeeping standards. Requires minimal prior retail experience and basic computer/retail tech use; willingness to obtain any required sales licensure or registration. The position involves operating store equipment and contributing to a safe, organized shopping environment, with opportunities to learn across departments and support in various store functions.
Required Qualifications
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
