Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility by dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, and washing windows. Empty trash cans, restock bathrooms, and ensure the garbage compactor is operational. Support event setup by stacking, moving, and setting up chairs and tables to prepare the building for daily operations. Work flexible days, nights, weekends, and holidays during the live racing season (May–September), including outdoor shifts in all weather conditions. Lift up to 35 pounds and operate equipment like a back pack vacuum or pressure washer. Obtain an MRC license and pass pre-employment screening.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years or older
- Able to stack, move and set up chairs and tables
- Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history
- Must be able to obtain an MRC license
- Flexibility of schedule
- Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays during the live racing season (May-September)
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Requires working in extreme temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Requires frequent wrist or hand use
- Must be able to wear and operate a 35 lbs. back pack vacuum or blower
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Housekeeping experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to operate a pressure washer
