Job Summary

Field-based seasonal Biological Technician supporting Chinook surveys, electrofishing, habitat assessments, and PIT tagging; requires long hours in remote terrain, camping up to 5 nights, with 4–8 day rotations and frequent travel among the Willamette Valley and Pacific Northwest. Work involves extended hiking, kayaking on rivers, camping in remote areas, and collaboration in crews of 2–3. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to perform safe handling and sampling of fish, collect data accurately, and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs in all weather conditions. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; experience with spawning ground surveys, PIT tagging, and biological sampling is preferred; valid driver's license and MS Office proficiency required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Science, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Fish identification skills
