Job Summary
Seasonal Behavioral Technician providing non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting activities of daily living assessments, using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and following all agency protocols. Required certifications include NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months and pursuing RBT certification within 6 months; bilingual Spanish candidates are encouraged. Must have a valid NJ driver’s license, pass background checks, and be willing to commit for at least three months. The role favors individuals with active listening and emotional intelligence, strong communications, organizational skills, and familiarity with evidence-based approaches for developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
