Job Summary
Seasonal Behavioral Technician providing non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting timely visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety techniques, engaging clients in growth activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Requires active listening, empathy, positive leadership, strong communication, organizational skills, independence and collaboration, familiarity with evidence-based approaches for developmental disabilities, and proficiency in client engagement and behavioral redirection. Evening shifts; 5–20 hours per week; 3+ month commitment. Sign-on bonus of $300 with staged disbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire OR supervised experience pathway
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Background checks (state and federal)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) encouraged to apply
- Minimum 3 months commitment
- Ability to work 5–20 hours per week, evenings
- Ability to complete onboarding and orientation
- High School Diploma or GED (per NJ guidelines)
