Job Summary

Seasonal Behavioral Technician to support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings in Salem County, NJ. Responsibilities include providing non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support, ensuring client safety, implementing strategies from each child’s Individual Support Plan, conducting functional assessments (including ADLs), using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes promptly, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety techniques, engaging clients in age-appropriate activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and following agency protocols. Eligible candidates will be authorized to work in the U.S., pursuing RBT certification and NJ CSOC certifications within specified timeframes, possess a NJ driver’s license, pass background checks and drug screening, and be willing to commit for at least 3 months. Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged. Sign-on bonus included. Benefits include paid time off, health coverage options, 401K, ongoing training, and other standard benefits. The role is seasonal with evening shifts and 5–20 hours per week. A $300 sign-on bonus is offered for Cumberland County placement. Supervisory and compliance expectations, plus eligibility criteria, are defined by New Jersey guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
  • Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks
  • A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.

  • Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the BACB, you must have at least 1 year of supervised experience; If with a Bachelor’s degree in related fields, at least 1 year supervised experience; If High School Diploma or GED, at least 3 years supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals with IDD
