Job Summary
Seasonal Behavioral Technician to support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings in Passaic County, NJ. Responsibilities include providing non-physical, emotional and behavioral support; ensuring client safety and well-being; implementing Individual Support Plans; conducting Activities of Daily Living assessments; using redirection strategies; preparing progress notes; responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies; engaging clients in activities to support growth; attending case reviews and trainings; and following agency protocols. Requires NJ CSOC Certification within 6 months, pursuit of RBT Certification, valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, and willingness to commit at least 3 months. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates encouraged. Sign-on bonus of $300 may be issued in installments after onboarding and during active employment; flexible scheduling with 5–20 hours per week, evenings. Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Must be willing and able to commit to the position for a minimum of three (3) months
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the BACB, you must have at least one year of supervised experience, etc.
- If with a High School Diploma or GED, you must have at least three (3) years of supervised experience
