Job Summary
Seasonal Behavioral Technician provides non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center; typical schedule 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts; responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation, engaging clients in activities to support growth, attending case reviews and trainings, and following agency protocols; requires NJ CSOC Certification within 6 months, pursuit of RBT certification within 6 months, valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, and willingness to commit at least 3 months; bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.

- Must be willing and able to commit to the position for a minimum of three (3) months.
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines
- If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If you have a Bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, or social work, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If with a High School Diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals
