Job Summary
Seasonal Behavioral Technician to support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support; ensure safety and well-being; implement Individual Support Plans; conduct functional assessments (ADLs); use redirection strategies; submit visit notes; respond to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies; engage clients in activities to support growth; attend case reviews, team meetings, and trainings; follow agency protocols and professional guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Must be willing and able to commit to the position for a minimum of three (3) months
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)...; If you have a Bachelor’s degree...; If with a High School Diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals
