Job Summary
Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan; conduct functional assessments (ADLs); use redirection to manage behavioral concerns; submit visit notes promptly; respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies; engage clients in activities to support growth and awareness; attend case reviews and required trainings; follow agency protocols and guidelines; collaborate with families and team to support client well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months
- Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months (toward)
- New Jersey Driver’s License
- Background checks (state and federal)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual Spanish encouraged
- Commit to at least 3 months
- Ability to work evenings
