Job Summary
Seasonal Bartender positions at Ocean Surf and Ocean Sands in York Beach, ME. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, overseeing liquor stock, preparing guest checks and processing payments, light food service as needed, checking IDs, promoting drink specials, ensuring proper portion controls and responsible service, maintaining bar cleanliness, setting up before opening, and handling side duties like garnish prep and stocking. Requires one year of bartending experience, TIPS or state certification, POS operation, strong drink knowledge, composure with difficult guests, fast and efficient work, excellent interpersonal skills, personal hygiene, legal age, and availability for a 7-day rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- One year of bartending experience
- T.I.P.S. certification or State specific equivalent
- Ability to operate point-of-sale system
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and/or service
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult guests
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and service focus
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene
- Must meet the legal age requirement of the jurisdiction
- Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
