Job Summary
Complete inbound/outbound trailer logs, common carrier logs, and discrepancy reports. Maintain access control for all facility entries and exits, respond to alarm systems, and conduct audits on common carriers. Monitor associate, visitor, and trucker activities while enforcing facility rules and responding to building emergencies. Operate power equipment and CCTV systems to ensure asset and associate protection. Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, lifting up to 50lbs, and use of handheld technology. Full-time colleagues work 30+ hours; part-time roles are 12-24 hours. PC knowledge and prior security experience in distribution centers are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience in a distribution center environment
- PC Knowledge, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manual
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
- Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
- Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis
- Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing
- Testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification
Desired Qualifications
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
- Prior security experience in a distribution center environment preferred
