Job Summary
Conduct search and rescue operations using scent discrimination trailing Bloodhounds to locate endangered missing persons across Alabama. Attend quarterly mock trainings held on Saturdays and respond to emergency calls in your region using a personal vehicle. Perform command and field roles under the supervision of Active members while serving as a Reserve member for Alabama Search and Rescue. This statewide agency collaborates with law enforcement to support rescue efforts, requiring current volunteer or employee status with an EMS, FIRE, LEO agency, or prior military experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Volunteer / Employee with any EMS/FIRE/LEO Agency or prior military
- Must attend at least two out of the four quarterly mock trainings for the year
- Must be able to respond in their personal vehicles
- Must be able to perform various roles in command and the field under the supervision of our Active members
