Job Summary
Measure, cut, and sew fabric and leather to create custom upholstery pieces for aircraft seats, headliners, and other interior components. Repair and replace damaged or worn upholstery on existing aircraft interiors while collaborating with the design team to ensure accurate and timely project completion. Maintain a clean work area, follow all safety procedures, and communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs. This full-time, on-site role at East Coast Aircraft requires proficiency in sewing machines and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in upholstery, preferably in aircraft interiors
- Proficient in using sewing machines and other upholstery tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and specifications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and safety protocols is an asset
