Job Summary
Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and reports to the Store Manager. S/he is responsible for exemplifying friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and providing superior customer service. Responsibilities include welcoming customers, managing customer flow to deliver a five-star experience, maintaining service levels, assisting with gown fitting and customization in partnership with Alterations, supporting stylists in closing sales, ensuring quality control of garments altered/steamed/pressed, handling alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming and spot cleaning to company standards, processing transactions accurately at the cash wrap, and maintaining an orderly alterations room. Requires high school education and 1-2 years of retail experience with sewing experience; prior POS system experience is a plus. Part-time position with hourly pay range $17.25-$21.00 per hour; benefits include various wellness and discount programs. The role emphasizes customer service, garment alterations, bridal/occasions expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to store policies including dress code and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
