Job Summary
Alterations Specialists perform fittings and alterations to meet high standards for bridal and special occasion garments, provide expert sewing, steaming, and finishing of dresses, and deliver five-star customer service in a retail setting. They assist stylists with gown fit and customization, manage alterations workflow, maintain room and inventory, and uphold store standards and policies while engaging with customers via phone, in person, and virtual chats. Prior sewing experience in bridal/special occasion production and retail POS experience are preferred. The role emphasizes problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail to ensure pristine garments and a superior customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus
