Job Summary

Perform quality alterations on merchandise at the store location, including hemming jeans and pants, measuring and marking lines, and resewing garments using provided sewing machines. Accommodate guests with on-the-spot alterations while following ticket instructions and meeting productivity guidelines of four jean alterations per hour. Remove stitches, press merchandise with an iron or steamer, and repair defective items or stains. Record all work in the alteration log and maintain a clean, stocked work area. Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver 25lbs throughout the store and backroom
  • close vision

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
