Job Summary
Perform quality alterations on merchandise at the store location, including hemming jeans and pants, measuring and marking lines, and resewing garments using provided machines. Accommodate guests with on-the-spot alterations, remove stitches, press items, and repair defective merchandise while maintaining a clean, stocked work area. Uphold productivity guidelines of four jean alterations per hour, record all work in the alteration log, and communicate policy violations or merchandise concerns to store leadership. Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience
- training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 25lbs throughout the store and backroom
