Job Summary
Conduct quality alterations on merchandise by measuring, marking, pinning, and resewing garments using provided sewing machines and tools. Perform on-the-spot alterations for guests while adhering to ticket instructions and productivity guidelines of four jean alterations per hour. Maintain a clean, organized work area, record all work in the alteration log, and remove stains or defective items as needed. Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience
- training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 25lbs throughout the store and backroom
