Job Summary
Perform quality alterations on merchandise at the store location, including hemming jeans and pants, by following ticket instructions and Guest specifications. Measure and mark alteration lines, remove stitches, and resew garments using the provided sewing machine, needle, and thread. Press finished items, repair defective merchandise, and remove stains while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Uphold productivity guidelines of four jean alterations per hour and record all work in the alteration log. Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience
- training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 25lbs throughout the store and backroom
