Seamstress/Tailor

The Seamstress/Tailor performs alterations in-store, including hemming jeans and pants, using a sewing machine and supplies. Responsibilities include quality alterations to merchandise, following guest specifications, meeting deadlines, and accommodating guests with on-the-spot alterations. Work entails measuring and marking alteration lines, removing stitches, resewing with needle and thread or machine, pressing, repairing defective merchandise, removing stains, and maintaining an organized work area. Productivity targets (e.g., approximately four jean alterations per hour), flexible scheduling (including holidays), and adherence to Buckle's ethics and store policies are required. The role is part-time with benefits after applicable waiting period and may involve seasonal fluctuations in hours.
