Job Summary
Conduct fittings, alterations, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to company standards while maintaining quality control and inspecting all items before delivery. Manage customer flow by greeting clients over the phone, in person, and via virtual chats, resolving conflicts, and promoting personalization options to assist stylists in closing sales. Process special orders, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain inventory management standards while keeping the alterations room clean and organized. Perform duties as assigned by store management with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal production, and 1-2 years of retail apparel experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience
- Prior experience in a bridal and/or special occasion production environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
