Keep seafood area well stocked and appealing while greeting customers, making preparation suggestions, and taking delivery orders. Resolve concerns promptly, set up displays, and rotate product to ensure freshness and proper pricing. Weigh and wrap merchandise, apply price stickers, and maintain logs for quality tracking. Adhere to food safety codes, follow cleaning schedules, and ensure work areas meet OSHA requirements. Handle spoiled or damaged items per company procedures, minimize losses by returning products to refrigeration, and report inventory shortages. Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries using power jacks if trained, and help control inventory through proper ordering. Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department function.
