Job Summary

Seafood Manager responsible for leading the seafood department, promoting excellent customer relations, managing inventory and ordering to meet demand, scheduling and supervising associates, training and performance reviews, implementing merchandising plans and seasonal/local promotions, ensuring freshness and proper rotation of seafood, enforcing safety and quality standards, and coordinating with other departments to drive sales and profitability.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business related or food service-related field desirable
  • Minimum (3) years management experience in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years management experience in retail/food service
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business-related or food-service-related field desirable
  • Proficient in inventory management and product merchandising
  • Experience with scheduling, training, and performance reviews
  • Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management System)
  • Ability to develop local merchandising plans and displays
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Knowledge of food safety codes and OSHA requirements
  • Experience controlling department expenses and labor costs
  • Ability to supervise and develop associates
  • Attention to freshness and product rotation (FIFO)
  • Ability to analyze inventory and profit metrics
  • Team leadership with a focus on growth and community impact
