Job Summary
Seafood Assistant Department Manager responsible for assisting the Seafood Department Manager in daily operations, coaching and mentoring team members, leading meetings, resolving team and customer issues, upholding health & safety and food safety standards, merchandising, inventory management, and scheduling to meet financial objectives while delivering exceptional service to team members, customers, and vendors. Requires leadership, strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, with travel to support off-site events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a seafood department
- Solid understanding of product knowledge in seafood
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
