Job Summary
Seafood Assistant Department Manager in a full-time retail role leading and mentoring team members in a busy seafood department. Responsibilities include coaching staff, conducting regular team meetings, resolving team and customer issues, enforcing health & safety and loss-prevention policies, merchandising and inventory management, scheduling to meet financial objectives, and delivering exceptional service to employees, customers, and vendors. Key skills include leadership, customer relationship building, strong communication, problem-solving, coaching and training, quick learning of new computer systems, display creativity, and a proactive, urgent ownership mindset. Requires at least 1 year of seafood department experience and willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends, with travel to support off-site events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in a seafood department
- Strong customer service skills
