Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO, utilizing the nursing process to maintain professional accountability and coordinate care across departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Maintain a 12-hour day shift schedule with 24 hours of work per week, including on-call rotation for weekends. Requires at least one year of nursing experience, a current RN license, and BLS certification. This role offers up to $10,000 in sign-on bonuses and access to ASN-to-BSN and BSN-to-MSN bridging programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
