Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO, utilizing the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with other departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while ensuring their rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with prolonged standing and walking. Requires at least one year of nursing experience, a current RN license, and BLS certification. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week and includes incentives such as a sign-on bonus and bridging programs for degree advancement.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Must be available for 12-hr Days - Scheduled Weekends
- Must be available for 24 hours/week
