Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO, utilizing the nursing process and maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Work 24 hours per week in 12-hour day shifts scheduled for weekends. Maintain a current RN license and hold Basic Life Support certification. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while standing and walking for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
