Job Summary
Barry University seeks a part-time SE - CASA, Student Tutor in Psychology (PSY 335 and PSY 436) to provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in the Content-Area Tutoring Center on the Miami Shores campus. The tutor will work a minimum of 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and will identify students’ content-area needs, differentiate instructional materials, foster student autonomy, and engage students with active learning strategies. Responsibilities include documenting student progress in the Center’s systems, participating in professional development, maintaining currency with course materials, and developing/workshops related to PSY 335 and PSY 436. Excellent communication, punctuality, organization, professionalism, and courtesy are required, with a commitment to at least two consecutive semesters.
Required Qualifications
- Must work a minimum of 10 hours per week consistently.
- Must be able to work for at least two semesters consecutively.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be punctual, organized, professional, and courteous.
