Job Summary
Create and maintain high-quality test automation using modern development techniques, applying automated tests at every layer of the application stack inside and outside the continuous delivery pipeline. Produce and analyze metrics to support quality engineering decisions, then promptly triage test failures with precision to maintain build pipeline health. Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality as a key design element, while engaging in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code. Protect users from escaped defects by participating in support escalations and ensuring all security policies are followed. Join the team supporting SAS languages and procedures that provide computational services as part of the server tier of the SAS architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related quantitative field
- 2-4 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing in C, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing
- Experience using Agile development practices
- Familiarity with various cloud environments and concepts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and associated tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Golang)
- Experience with SAS programming.
- Programming and debugging skills with a working understanding of software architecture and testing principles
- Experience with Linux.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based application development.
