Job Summary
Own end-to-end data pipelines for bid requests, win/loss events, and conversion signals at scale, building and maintaining the data lakehouse for low-latency DSP analytics and ML feature generation. Architect backend microservices for bid shading, pacing, and budget management while driving FinOps discipline and data governance for StarRocks deployments. Mentor a team of engineers, lead architecture reviews, and set standards for API design and observability across the bidding path. Partner with ML engineers across the feature engineering and model-serving lifecycle to turn data into a competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years in data engineering or large-scale data systems
- Deep expertise in distributed stream processing (Kafka, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming)
- Strong SQL at petabyte scale
- Proficiency in Python (primary) and/or Java/Scala
- Proficiency in REST/gRPC microservices
- Proficiency in Kubernetes
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of the RTB ecosystem (OpenRTB, SSPs, ad exchanges)
- Understanding of identity resolution (UID2/RampID)
- Understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA)
- Demonstrated experience leading technical squads
- Strong communication skills
- Track record of shipping from ambiguous requirements to production
