Job Summary
Serving the Product Owner and Development Team while guiding Managed Services teams on Agile/Scrum practices and values. Assess Scrum maturity and coach teams toward sustainable higher levels of maturity. Remove impediments or guide team members to find the right personnel for resolution. Build a trusting, safe environment focused on healing and problem solving. Facilitate discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, and transparent communication. Support the Product Owner with backlog grooming and maintain servant leadership. Requires Java development background, Certified Scrum Master certification, and 2+ years in software development roles.
Required Qualifications
- Must come from a Java Development background
- Certified Scrum Master
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Critical understanding of various shortcomings and their remedies
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
- Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a team lead would be a plus
- Exceptional communication and mentoring skills
