Job Summary
Scrum Master for a federal cloud modernization program focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP); responsible for owning the agile process, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, partnering with the Product Owner to refine the backlog, maintaining Jira sprint boards, and providing sprint status visibility to stakeholders. The role requires coordinating with federal stakeholders, supporting change management activities, and ensuring alignment with security and IT governance (ATO, FedRAMP/NIST concepts). On-site four days per week with one day telework.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software delivery environment
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Scrum/agile certification
- Demonstrated experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint execution end-to-end
- Proficiency with Jira (Atlassian) for story writing, subtask management, and sprint tracking
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — specific platform expertise not required, but cloud familiarity is
- High-level understanding of DevSecOps concepts and delivery pipelines, sufficient to contextualize team stories and facilitate grooming conversations
- Familiarity with ATO (Authority to Operate) processes and federal IT security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) at a conceptual level
- Active Top Secret clearance required; active Secret clearance (with ability to obtain TS) will be considered
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage confidently with engineers, product leadership, and federal customers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal IT programs or government cloud modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) specifically — this is a nice-to-have, not a requirement
- Experience with SharePoint for documentation management and team knowledge repositories
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly in environments where it is integrated with Jira for ticketing and work intake
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe certification
- Cloud certification from any major provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) demonstrating foundational cloud literacy
- Background supporting change management activities in an agile delivery context
