Job Summary
Coordinate agile ceremonies including Iteration Planning, Stand Ups, Refinement, Iteration Review, and Retrospective while removing impediments through coordination and creative thinking. Facilitate Product and Development Managers in PI planning to ensure objectives are attained, analyze iteration data for risks, and improve flow. Assist with internal communication, transparency, and conflict resolution while contributing to the advancement of Agile practices. Coordinate with other Scrum Masters to develop best practices and standards for agile teams at Avalon. This role supports Avalon's mission to improve clinical outcomes and healthcare affordability by coaching self-organization within the Agile Team. Quarterly travel to the Tampa, Florida corporate office is required.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team
- Excellent communication, facilitation and coaching skills
- Good data analytical skills
- Scrum Master Certification
- quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida
Desired Qualifications
- SAFe Agile Scrum Master certification
- Experience working during an organization Agile transformation
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Scaled Agile, etc.
- Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques including User Stories, Continuous Integration, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
