Job Summary
Scrubber Engineer for Marella Discovery 2 onboard Marella Cruises. Lead engine-room watch, supervise on-watch team, execute maintenance and repairs of Main and Auxiliary engines, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, coordinate with technical departments, and deliver training and guidance to subordinates. Requires STCW95, CoC A-III/1, extensive shipboard experience, ability to read technical drawings, and strong English communication. Knowledge of Wartsila engines and safety/MLC/ISPS/SOLAS/MARPOL frameworks preferred; contract-based role with 3 months ±1 month duration and offshore shipboard duties; must maintain seaworthiness and safety of the engine room and support systems.
Required Qualifications
- Valid STCW95 certification
- Valid CoC A-III/1
- Appropriate certification as required by regulations
- Extensive experience on passenger ships in a similar role
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals
- English language proficiency
