Job Summary
Prepare patients and position fluoroscopic equipment to obtain optimum views during cardiovascular procedures. Operate interventional equipment, maintain sterile fields, and monitor radiation exposure levels while ensuring patient safety. Manage disposable inventory, order supplies, and negotiate vendor pricing to support cost control. Document all actions, maintain the film library, and adhere to infection-control and radiation safety protocols. Collaborate with engineers, physicists, and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal equipment performance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (ARRT-R) Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Cardiac-Interventional (ARRT-CI) or Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of all regulations and requirements set forth by the Texas Bureau of Radiation Control
- Proper use and storage of personal radiation badges
