Job Summary
Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR while assisting physicians with basic patient care, medical procedures, and diagnostic test facilitation. Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and ensure site lab compliance with Department of Health regulations. Escort patients to exam rooms and facilities, communicate with pharmacies and physicians, and maintain a clean, stocked, and professional environment. Work full-time shifts of 8-12 hours in a fast-paced urgent care setting, maintaining quick pace and high attention to detail. Bilingual skills and BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Phlebotomy certifications
- English language (speaking and writing) skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bilingual language skills
- Ability to lift light to moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to maintain a quick pace in fast paced urgent care medical facility for the duration of scheduled shift minus meal/break time
- Strong aptitude for detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day
